About the company
Alluvial Wines, Inc. wholesales and brokers a unique portfolio of artisan wine producers from around the world. We founded Alluvial in February of 2013 based on three common goals:
One, work with wine growers who respect the land and practice sustainability in all aspects of their wine growing as well as in the running of their business, and utilize organics and biodynamics where they are able.
Two, represent winemakers who believe in letting the true character of terrior and vineyards express in their wines. We believe in wines that are not manipulated, and where the winemaker’s hand is gentle and not overly intrusive. We want the great work and location of the vineyard to speak through in the wine, and not be masked by over-manipulation.
And three, we believe in honesty, transparency, and integrity in all aspects of our business. All too often, our industry is clouded in mystery and purposely mis-leading information. We choose to be transparent with our producers, our staff, and our customers. By choosing wine producers and importers who share our philosophy about honesty and transparency in the way we do business together, we believe that those ideals transfers through to the wine in the bottle.
With our head office in Orinda, and our wines stored in warehouses in Napa, Sonoma, and San Jose, we can deliver wine to almost all areas of California, usually the next day. We have a team of sales people that cover all of California and can ship to virtually any location within the state.
