About the company

Bon Vin Selections is a wine and spirits wholesaler and importer based in Atlanta, GA, and was born from a passion for food, wine and people sparked by a trip to the Loire Valley in France. Unsure of what I wanted to do after graduating from the University of Georgia, I ended up in Vail, Colorado and soon began working as a busboy at Sweet Basil Restaurant. Little did I know that rather fortuitous turn of events would send me down a path filled with delicious food, incredible wines, and fascinating people. I quickly realized my happiest moments were spent with friends and family and we were almost certainly eating and drinking. After climbing the ranks at Sweet Basil to eventually become Wine Director, my gastronomic journey continued to New York in the mid aughts where I was lucky to work the floor as a sommelier at some of the city’s finest restaurants. While spending time at Babbo, Daniel, and Jean-Georges I learned three very unique philosophies regarding food, hospitality, and taking care of the guest that continue to guide me today. In 2009 I joined Michael Skurnik Wines where I had a successful career carrying a bag around the streets of Manhattan, and loving every minute of it. I was incredibly fortunate to have spent almost 12 years working with some of the most talented chefs and buyers in the city. We are living in a golden age for wine and spirits and there is a greater diversity of options and styles than at any time in history. Growers and producers from around the world have continued to hone their craft, become better stewards of the land, and adapt to a changing and increasingly inhospitable climate. My goal is to seek out small producers that are passionate about the wines and spirits they are making, have an interesting and honest story to share, and respect the traditions of the past while also looking towards the future. I am most interested in small, family farms that focus on organic, biodynamic, and natural winemaking and could not be more excited to share some of my discoveries with you.
