About this event

MFW's last, full portfolio tasting!

Of course all the importers will be in attendance: Ernest Ifkovitz and Mark Middlebrook from PortoVino (who I hear will be bringing some special, older cellar selections from Scarpa), Chris Barnes and “El Diablo” himself, José Pastor of José Pastor Selections, Carlo Huber of Carlo Huber Selections (who will be bringing along Erwin Tinhof of Weingut Tinhof in the Burgenland!), plus Michelle Negrón Gonzalez of Saó del Coster in Priorat is making the trip, and, on the domestic side of things, the mad scientist Chad Stock of Minimus and Omero will be back, plus Meredith Greli and Wes Shonk of Wigle Whiskey will be in attendance to cover all your craft spirits needs.

Needless to say, it is going to be a good time, and we will make sure this last, full tasting will be one you don’t want to miss. (Just as an aside, MFW will likely do a few, smaller, more focused tastings throughout the year, so don’t be too sad that this is the last full tasting.)

I hope you guys can make it! If you plan on attending, please RSVP to me by email no later than Friday, August 21st. If there is anyone you would like to bring with you, that is cool, just give me the heads up.

About the company

At MFW, with everything we do, we strive to advocate for the interests of those we work with and those we work for. To accomplish this, we have created a company founded on the principle of empathy, where the needs of our producers, our customers, and our employees are always put first since without them, we have nothing. We work for the producers we believe in, producers that strive to make real, terroir-driven wines, serving as their megaphone to the market so they can continue to make their products for the long-term. We work with our customers, trying to understand their needs, and offering products that they feel inspired to sell so they may continue to have a viable business. We work with our employees, helping them pass on these guiding principals to those that share our beliefs, so they can achieve success, as we are their partners in mutually successful endeavors.

MFW currently operates in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. You can also find some of our producers in Arizona, Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Rhode Island through our local distributor partners.
