About the company
As we at Estate Wines, Ltd., enter our 30th year, we are privileged to work with some of the finest wineries on the planet. Our growers work overtime to insure top quality both in the vineyards and the cantina. One of our mottos at EWL is "when the winemaker and the vines share the same address, the wine quality is always higher." A very large percentage of our growers have the same address as their vines, thus insuring a deeper knowledge of the site, its soils and the microclimate. Walking out of your front door to tend the vines, gives you a much different perspective, than driving to them. Hard working, quality obsessed growers who live among their vines...we are proud to say, this is a typical EWL winery.
We focus on marketing our wines to restaurants and small, independent wine shops. As our average grower produces only 4,200 cases, we are not interested in mass market accounts, we prefer to work with quality obsessed chefs and true wine merchants.
We are proud to import and distribute fine wines from California, Oregon, Italy, Spain and France. We currently have in stock wines from over 95 different varietals, both the common and unique. We tend to prefer wines from high altitude, cool climates, such as the Basque region of Spain and France, Alto Adige, Alto Piemonte, Mt Etna, Bodega Headlands/Sonoma Coast.
