In addition to being the oldest extant Port house, the venerable firm of Kopke is world-renowned for the unparalleled depth of its library stocks and its mastery of the colheita (vintage-dated tawny) category. Join Skurnik and Kopke as we present a fascinating voyage through the decades, pairing colheita wines with age statement tawnies of comparable age. We’ll culminate with Kopke’s exalted 50-year-old Tawny, an iconic entry in this brand-new age designation only authorized since 2021.

The story of Skurnik Wines began in 1987 when Michael started the business with just a handful of relatively unknown wineries. Today, the company represents over 800 estates, most of which are family-owned-and-operated. We are the local distribution partner for these brands in eight direct markets: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and California. Beyond our distribution footprint, we also are a national importer for almost 200 brands to distributors in all 50 states.
