Breakout Session #2 An in-depth study of “Napa Terroir” through the lens of Gagnon-Kennedy & Component single vineyard wines

Gagnon-Kennedy is led by Marc Gagnon, previously with Bryant Family, Screaming Eagle and Caldwell Vineyards, and Michael Kennedy, former Wine Director for Eric Ripert's 'Blue' at The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Gagnon-Kennedy aims to explore the terroir and history of Napa Valley through the bottle by making wine only from the historic vineyards of the valley. Marc and Michael consider their wines to be “off-pendulum,” choosing to create wines in a style that best represents these sites rather than the current style of the moment. Component Wine Company creates single-varietal, single-vineyard wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma, Bordeaux and Provence. The team’s goal is to provide an intimate and elevated experience dedicated to the intrinsic characteristics of each grape and each region. All wines are made “classically natural;” they exude freshness, vibrancy and lift.
