The Louis/Dressner Sort of Portfolio tasting is back! Over 300 wines! Special guest appearances! Food from Marlow+Sons!
On Tuesday, October 30th, we let loose with our annual TASTING EXTRAVAGANZA, your once a year chance to taste the most Louis/Dressner wines in a single room, EVER. Tons of new vintages, plus wines from brand spanking new estates Zélige-Caravant (Pic St-Loup), Domaine du Possible (Côtes du Roussillon), La Stoppa (Emilia-Romagna), Louis-Antoine Luyt (Chile) and of course, the Germans: Immich Batterieberg (Mosel), Knebel (Mosel), Clemens-Busch (Mosel) and Koehler-Ruprecht (Pfalz).

And on a more serious note, this year's Sort of Portfolio Tasting is dedicated to Christian Chaussard.
Christian, who died in a tractor accident on September 4th, epitomized what Louis/Dressner is all about. His dedication to intelligent, forward thinking viticultural practices and ability to consistently produce un-manipulated expressions of terroir were exemplary. He was a highly respected and influential figure for an entire generation of vignerons, and will be sorely missed.
Christian was also the pioneer of the dry pétillant naturel, a style which has steadily increased in popularity over the last decade. In such, we will be dedicating an entire table to some of our favorite PET NATS as an hommage. It's not an overstatement to say these wines wouldn't exist without Christian, and what better way to honor his life than with the bubbles he inspired!

About the company
Louis/Dressner Selections is a portfolio of over 100 vignerons hailing from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia and Chile. We are a partnership of Denyse Louis, a native Burgundian, Joe Dressner and Kevin McKenna. Collectively, we spend nearly nine months a year in Europe working with our growers and selecting wines for importation to America.
We have no brands. We are not looking for them. We do have a group of often fanatical growers who are doing their best to make wines that are original because they are honestly crafted. These might seem old-fashioned, but in the present context it is almost revolutionary....
There are no gobs, no exaggerations, no over-this and over-that. We don’t have fruit bombs. What we do have is a group of growers who work their vines and make their wines with honesty, passion and humor.
In that sense THE BRAND is the convergence of these crazy growers and their American importers.
