Introducing Roxton, from the Brampton Wine Studio, the brand’s home located in the heart of SA’s original wine hub, Stellenbosch. Roxton is a three-way blend of Petit Verdot, Shiraz and Malbec. The wine takes its name from a magnificent pedigreed bull imported from the UK in the 1950s.
Living up to the bloodline of its namesake, the grapes used to prepare the Roxton are sourced from specially selected premium vineyard sites which allow the different varietal components to shine and show off their unique qualities. The Petit Verdot brings a muscular structure to the wine, the Shiraz a depth of flavour on the mid-palate while the Malbec adds fresh and juicy berry and black cherry fruit to the mix.
Roxton, like the other wines in the Brampton stable, is an expression of
individuality and creativity. While drinking seamlessly at the moment, it is also a great collector’s wine as it promises even more intrigue with greater integration of its layers over the next ten years.
