Southampton Publick House
The historic town of Southampton stretches along Long Island’s south fork, offering residents and visitors a medley of quaint shops, expansive beachside homes and the nation’s most award-winning brewery: the Southampton Publick House. The home of Southampton Publick House began as a speakeasy during the Prohibition Era, before reopening in 1996 as a brewery, grill and tap room. Two years later, the brewpub expanded distribution of its distinct beers to the rest of Long Island. In 2005, the label became a national success.
The brewery’s rise in popularity can be attributed to the high quality and rich flavors of its English-style ales and Belgian-style wits. Ranked in the top 20 for Great American Beer Festival medals earned, it is one of the most award-winning breweries in America. Last year, the pub moved from its historic site to a new location just off Main Street. Now the owners have even more room for brewing and displaying their medals.
Discover why so many judges have awarded this brewery and its beers time and again.
